Who doesn’t love Chole? It is like our family favorite. I’ve never tried making it without coconut but for the very first time I made it and we loved.

Preparation – Soak chole overnight. Pressure cook for 5 to 6 whistles or while cooking with some salt. Grind chopped 1:1 ratio of tomato and onion and make a fine paste for gravy. Add some whole spices/garam masala. It was for two of us hence added only one whole spice each. (cardamon, clove, black pepper each)

Process – In a pressure cooker add a bay leaf. chopped onions, ginger garlic paste, a pinch of salt. Add chopped tomato, tomato onion paste, everest chicken masala, turmeric, salt (accordingly as we added it before). I usually prepare it in the pressure cooker directly and hence 5 to 6 whistles.

Serve it hot with bature/puri/rice. Super simple and tasty chole variant I’ve ever made 🙂
