We talk about education but it is usually restricted to our family. None of us has ever thought about educating children who cannot afford the school or school fees. Safeena Husain sensed the need for girls education in India.
Safeena Husain is the wife of the famous writer and director Hansal Mehta. He directed the famous show “Khana Khazana” for Sanjeev Kapoor. She is a graduate of the London School of Economics. Works for rural and urban communities (undeserved) across the world. The first thing she chose after her India visit was Girl’s Education. Her non-profit organization “Educate Girls” came into reality. It basically focuses on to educate girls in rural parts of India or backward places.
The first organization in the world who started DIB “Development Impact Bond” in the Education sector. It is a new way for private investment to fund in organization or sector who focus on 100% impact/outcome.
She is well known for this good deed. Above all, received some prestigious awards in the field of excellence.”Winner 2015 Skoll Award for Social Entrepreneurship – April 2015″, “Winner NDTV-L’Oréal Paris Women of Worth Award 2016”, “Winner NITI Aayog Women Transforming India Award 2017”, “ET Prime Women Leadership Award 2019”,
Educate Girls has an extensive team to work out everything for girls across India. Many of them do field surveys or talk with their parents and family. They make them understand the importance of education in every girl’s life. Many of them are unaware of their importance. These girls are school dropouts, many of them couldn’t afford school. Few of them were bound to me at home to do household chores. After that, they chose these girls from all different categories. Above all, providing a platform to study is like a boon for India.
In addition, Educate Girls works in partnership with Government and village communities. Moreover, they make sure to bring out the best and get girls enrolled. Educate Girls is now known as “The Audacious Project”. Read more on the link above and donate for this good deed.
A virtual thank you and best wishes to Safeena Husain and her team with Educate Girls staff and members.
