I’ve attempted blog prompts twice before but have failed to complete them! I’m adamant to complete it this time. This post is a part of Blogchatter Blog Hop. I have chosen the prompt “This October I am looking forward to…”
I’ve learned a lot from experiences, understanding where I went wrong and how to approach things differently. I’ve been fortunate to have had some rewarding experiences in my career. However, around May 2024, I had to take a break from work due to burnout. While I had considered leaving my job, it turned out that the timing was right for a much-needed reset.
Don’t get me wrong but I did wish to leave the job and everything happened for a reason. I was pushing myself too hard and neglecting my well-being. My overthinking and constant stress were taking a toll, leading to frequent headaches and eye strain. Despite having everything I needed, I felt like I was constantly trying to catch up and fit in. It became clear that I needed to slow down and prioritize my mental health.
I’ve always been hesitant to share my struggles, as everyone faces challenges in their own lives. I believe that dwelling on negativity won’t solve problems. Instead, I’d like to focus on the strategies that helped me navigate difficult times.
How did I change my perspective?
Life isn’t always easy, but we all work through it. Change is a part of life, and it’s essential for growth. In the past, I felt frustrated because I didn’t have enough resources. But instead of focusing on what I didn’t have, I started being thankful for what I did.
I knew about gratitude and visualization, but putting them into practice was tough. A few months ago, I was alone, busy with last-minute chores, and always on my laptop. Now, things are different. I’m still learning and improving, but I’m definitely in a better place today. I was not regular in the below activities but it did help me calm and feel better.
- Regulate my sleep routine
- Have meals on time
- Mind Dumping journal for all the overthinking thoughts
- Read self-help books
- Meditate (still trying to get it right)
- Connect and talk to the nature around me
- Everyday happy affirmations
You can try these things and regulate your sedentary lifestyle too. No one is perfect but we try to overcome every obstacle of life. Be thankful for everything around you and see the change in your current behavior.
This October, I am looking forward to financial stability with a balanced lifestyle. I wish to be more mindful and practice clean eating (avoid junk), meditate more often, and take some secluded nature trips.

Our daily routine and job should not affect our mental and physical health. It is important to take break and come back energised.
