We often rush to complete things but forget to live in the moment. One thing that Sindhudurg has taught me is to slow down on weekends. I prefer to wake up a little later than usual and go through things at my own pace. Home-cooked breakfast is non-negotiable. I love spending quality time with my daughter and watching YouTube videos. This has to be our favourite thing every weekend. There is no set routine, but if we have somewhere to visit, we try to leave late afternoon and spend the sunset at a beach or just watching nature around, with a normal drive in the locality. Sunday is usually seafood day, when we, as a family, go to the local fish market to get some fresh catch. Perks of staying in a coastal area. We also try to sleep in the afternoon, but that is rare as my daughter never sleeps, so one of us stays awake, and that is usually me :p If time allows, I spend some me time with Netflix series or listen to some subliminal on YouTube. We even try to visit and spend a lazy day at my MIL’s place. We spend most of our time at home, so we love to slow down, watch the sunset from our balcony, and have a cup of tea each evening. I also miss the city chaos, but in the end, my brain needs that calm, so I truly feel grateful to be in Sindhudurg.

Every week, I try to set aside a dedicated haircare session, from shampoo to serum, for my daughter and me. I also groom my nails, push my cuticles, and invest in a proper nailcare routine. I have dry, brittle nails, so this routine helps me take care of them.

I feel every weekend just teaches me the art of slowing down and appreciating the small joys in my life. It is the best way to calm the mind, clear the chaos, and reset every weekend for a fresh start to the week. Is there anything that you love to do on your weekends?
