Have you heard about Color Chemistry’s makeup range? Well, keep reading to know more. For the past few years, I have started using makeup and trying several brands. Juicy Chemistry is one brand I have felt associated with since the beginning. I have been a part of their affiliate team for some time now. Tried several products and saw some interesting launch stories on their page about Color Chemistry. I got a few products as a brand gift as part of the affiliate program. I repurchased some of them. Color Chemistry
I always wanted Juicy Chemistry to enter the makeup industry, and that is where Color Chemistry’s launch came as a sweet surprise. I love how they introduced the products with sheer transparency. Hair mascara for kids, effortless concealer, and highly pigmented lip crayons. You name it and they have it all. They did a fabulous job in considering Indian skin tones and introduced the products accordingly.
1. Makeup Primer
Texture: Lightweight, Coarse.
Benefits: Blurs pores to an extent and enhances makeup longevity.
My Experience: The primer has a coarse texture and a slight fragrance. Once I start applying it, it feels like a peel. I’m not sure why, but it pills a lot. Maybe it wasn’t silicon-based. I could see the pores blurred to some extent. The application made me feel sweaty for a few seconds, but the moment I applied the compact, it was okay. I guess they discontinued this primer. I hope they improve or re-formulate and relaunch it.
2. Liquid Foundation
Finish: Luminous natural skin-like finish.
Coverage: Buildable from light to medium.
Shades: Available in a diverse range with 20 shades catering to various Indian skin tones.
My Experience: Loved the formulation. It does feel skin-like. I did not order a full-sized product, but the team was kind enough to send me 2 samples along with my other gifted goodies. Shade names – Dessert & Cocoa. While cocoa is dark for my skin tone, I can use it to contour.
Dessert is perfect for me. Check this Makeup Look where I’ve used concealer and foundation. I wish to order a full-sized one for this, but I freelance (mostly at home), so I rarely do makeup. I don’t want to hoard anything that will be kept on my shelf for ages. I did ask the team, and they helped me with the compact shade (Canvas) that will go with the Dessert shade foundation.
3. Concealer Stick
Format: Creamy-matte stick.
Coverage: Medium to high, suitable for concealing blemishes, dark circles, and discoloration.
Shades: 8 inclusive shades designed for Indian skin tones.
My Experience: The first shade I tried was Bamboo. If you know me and have seen me in person, do check out Bamboo & Savanna. Check the swatches here. They will be a perfect addition to your makeup kit. I’ve used the concealer here as well. One swipe gives high color payoff, and its texture is smooth as butter. I would recommend this to anyone looking for an everyday concealer that looks like second skin. It effortlessly blends on the skin. Pick this, but with their sharpener. I cannot thank the team enough for getting such a beautiful product that works so good.
4. Lip & Cheek Crayon
Texture: Ultra-matte, yet comfortable and non-drying.
Dual Use: Suitable for both lips and cheeks.
Shades: 16 vibrant colors ranging from nudes to bold hues.
My Experience: The lip crayon is highly pigmented with just one-stroke payoff. The texture is creamy and buttery on the lips. It feels superlight on my lips. Despite being matte, it has a shine on application, which later becomes matte on the lips. It doesn’t feel crackly on the lips like most matte lipsticks. Quite a multipurpose product that can be used on cheeks as a natural blush.
Check this reel for the lipstick swatch. For reference, it is Rosewood. It is a little bold for me, but it looks good for cheek tint to add that natural flush on the face. During my Pune visit, I got to swatch Bloom, and it is a beautiful nude pink, so check that too.
5. Matte Lipstick
Finish: Soft-matte.
Pigmentation: Rich color payoff.
Shades: 12 shades suitable for daily wear and special occasions.

The products used for the above look are vitamin C serum, Dot and key sunscreen, Shesha Ayurveda Lip Balm, Color Chemistry Scabiosa lipstick, CC primer and concealer, and Wearified airbrush filter powder. I washed my hair a day before with Earth Rhythm shampoo (no conditioner).
My Experience: Love the bullet lipstick. The color washes me out little, but I feel it looks good when I need something not so bold. It is non-drying as it has nourishing Rosehip Oil & Green Tea. I would suggest prepping your lips if you tend to have dry lips. It is comfortable on the lips and super soft matte in texture and appearance. They have several other shades in the bullet lipsticks. Both the lip crayon and bullet lipsticks need reapplication.

My 4-year-old daughter often sees me applying makeup and asks me to put some on her, too. I trust this brand, so I feel comfortable using it on her. I’m yet to make her try, maybe on some special occasion or her school show.
