Ankita Classic Restaurant is a hidden treasure near Manohar International Airport (GOX). During a recent visit, we were pleasantly surprised. It is located near the Railway Overbridge, Warkhand Rd, en route to the North Goa, Mopa airport. In this blog post, I take you through our wonderful experience at Ankita Classic Restaurant.
The refreshing and lovely ambiance captivated us from the moment we stepped inside. The ground floor features a simple dining space. The upstairs area boasts a modern interior design with a charming blend of blue and brown hues. The atmosphere adds a sense of comfort and relaxation, creating the perfect setting for a memorable dining experience. Moreover, the restaurant offers an open dining area for enjoying the surroundings, as well as an enclosed space suitable for families or larger groups seeking a more private setting.
Food Experience at Ankita Classic Restaurant
It truly impressed us with its delicious menu offerings. As seafood enthusiasts, we chose the Mori, Chanak, Surmai, and Prawns Thali, and the experience left us thoroughly satisfied. We even ordered Squid Fry and Prawns Fry with some Mori Sukkhe. The food quality surpassed our expectations, as every dish showcased the expertise of the restaurant. The flavors balanced perfectly, the ingredients were fresh, and each bite treated our taste buds with a delightful sensation. Ankita Classic Restaurant takes immense pride in offering top-notch seafood to everyone.
So for Mori Thali, they have just the mori curry other than that for Prawns and surmai, Chanak Thali has other items as well. They have small portions of Squid chilly, Tisre Sukkhe (Clams), Tarlyache Ambat Tikhat (These are tasty and full of calcium), Gulab Jamun, Fish Curry (usually has 2 to 3 prawns in it), Crab Masala (has a small crab in it), Sukat (dried prawns), Salad, Solkadi. I’ve personally tasted every small dish and almost everything is full of flavors. We made the mistake of placing an order for Tisryache Sukkhe as we completely forgot it is usually a part of fish thali, but guess what it was relished by everyone. Luckily we were almost 4 so it was easily finished in no time.
Hospitality
One aspect that left a lasting impression on us was the hospitality at Ankita Classic Restaurant. Despite the frequent crowds, the staff members were attentive and friendly. Whether you are a local or a tourist, you can expect to be treated with the same warmth at the restaurant.
Ankita Classic Restaurant has gained immense popularity among both locals and tourists for all the right reasons. The restaurant’s location near the Manohar International Airport (GOX) makes it a convenient stop for travelers for a satisfying meal before or after their journey. Furthermore, they have a spacious parking area, eliminating any worries about finding a suitable parking spot. However, be ready to wait on weekends. The parking is usually full during afternoons so I guess night would be the same. The same goes for the waiting queue during weekends so make sure to call them to know if there is seating available to eat inside. I have been to this place twice mostly on weekends.
Overall it is a true culinary gem in terms of ambiance, menu offerings, food quality, and hospitality. Whether you are a seafood lover or seeking a memorable meal in a pleasant setting, this restaurant exceeds expectations on all fronts. I’ve been to many places for the past 7 years and this is bang on the best restaurant and probably the most affordable one as well. During your next visit to the Manohar International Airport (GOX) or North Goa, please stop by this place to experience the tasty seafood treat.
