Monsoons in Sindhudurg are super magical. I love the cozy mornings with constant drizzle in the air. The best part is observing the slow days. Each corner is super scenic and full of greenery around. It is a perfect time to blend in nature, feel grounded, meditate, and mentally relax. Each of these monsoon destinations is blessed with outstanding views.

Sindhudurg is blessed with an outstanding nature that helps it to stand out every season. Each season has its charm. I’ve visited some of the monsoon destinations with my family and can’t wait to see some more this year too. The view would be amazing as Konkan Rains were beautiful this year.

Kavalesaad Waterfalls
I was so fascinated to see the nature. This is in the inner corner and ahead of Amboli waterfalls. The waterfall is in Gele, Sawantwadi. This is super crowded during monsoons, especially during the weekends. The view is spectacular with a lush green valley and lovely waterfalls. The main one where everyone stands near the railing is a reverse waterfall, and the view is magical here. There is now a small watch tower space like an open terrace for everyone to watch the view from the top alternately.
Moti Talav
This man-made super serene lake was built in 1874 by the royal family. A popular place among locals of Sawantwadi. I have my maternal uncles residing in Sawantwadi and we often visit them. Love seeing this lake in Sawantwadi. People often wait there, spend time with their loved ones, chill with friends, and roam for a brisk walk. If you happen to be here just have some good food and spend some time here at Moti Talav.
Mangeli Waterfalls
This is on my wishlist. I’ve seen such beautiful videos of these waterfalls on Instagram. This is basically near Maharashtra Karnataka border and in Dodamarg Taluka. The road looks uneven with stones and constant water so it might be a little slippery around so be extra careful.
Mahadev Gad
This is a beautiful viewpoint in Amboli and gives you a picturesque view of the valleys. If you are lucky enough, you might witness fog here. You can even click some stunning pictures here with the scenic view.
Kumbhavade Waterfalls or Baba Waterfalls
The waterfall is breathtaking and located in Chaukul. The road might be slippery and you can closely see the view. Judge your capacity and stay in the area as newbies might find the area to be secluded.
Nangartas Waterfalls
These falls look surreal. The constant sound of water and flow makes you fall in love with nature. One can watch this closely, it is like a visual treat to the eyes. These waterfalls have small stairs leading to the area where you can view them but there’s also a small space ahead where you can reach below but it is difficult to stand here so one might slip here.
