Sindhudurg has all beautiful temple’s. We love to visit them every month. Few of my favorites are Mauli, Kaleshwar, Redi Ganpati. Locals love to worship and attend different events or fair at any temple. There are various festivals specific to every village which takes place at the traditional ancestral temple’s.
Let’s take a look at some well-known temples of Sindhudurg.

Anganewadi Bharadi Devi Temple, Malvan – This is a well-known temple located in Anganewadi. It is 10 km from Malvan in Masure. Svayambhu Idol and it is a stone plaque, therefore, named as Bharadi Devi. Bharad is a flat surface. There are annual fair celebrations at the temple in February or March. It is a Jaagrut Devasthan and every year thousands of pilgrims visit the temple for vows or any wish completion.

Shri Dev Vetoba, Aravali – The King God of Ghosts. Lord Vetal or Vetoba is offered Kelicha Gad meaning Bananas or Banana Bunch. Vetoba is the god of ghosts and every worshipper offers a Kolhapuri Chappals. It is quite common to offer leather chappals as Demon God protects Aravali every night, he walks around in the village. The place is super peaceful and one will instantly feel the strong positive force in the temple.

Redi Ganpati – This is one of the most serene temples in Sindhudurg located near Redi Beach. Fragrant incense sticks and a cool breeze is like two amazing combinations at Redi. This is a Swayambhu Ganesh Idol and often crowded on Tuesday or any Ganesh Festival or occasion.
