A good face wash is a part of my skincare routine. It is non-negotiable and I absolutely love to include good face cleansers. I’ve compiled my favorite 3 face washes for oily skin that helped my skin without drying it. I’ve been a part of the skincare community for almost 8 years now. I’ve seen all the brands and their interesting launches with different sets of ingredients. Similarly, I’ve seen so many facewashes hyped for the last few years. Today it is easy to find face washes for different skin types but finding the right face washes for oily skin can be a task.

I’ve been using various face washes to check my skin and weather requirements. Some of them remained my favorite and have also been part of my current skincare routine. Now, if you are someone with an oily-sensitive skin type, grab a cup of cold coffee and read this blog post. These 3 are absolute gem face washes for oily skin.

Dot & Key Watermelon Face Wash

This refreshing facewash was a recommendation by Sonali who blogs at skincarevilla. Her product reccos are the best! I never knew I would love this one but it was really good. A few years ago I noticed aloe vera doesn’t suit my face much so was a little skeptical with this. However, it didn’t affect much on my skin but I saw little bumps on my face sometimes. Now the product is really good and super hydrating and doesn’t dry my face at all. Best facewash for oily skin type. For the first few uses, I was like did I miss washing it well :p

Face washes for oily skin

Pros

  • Cooling face wash
  • Does add glow to the skin
  • Non-drying and feels super hydrated post use
  • Gentle on the skin
  • Lovely cucumber fragrance which isn’t too overpowering.

Cons

  • I guess the bumps part which I feel happened due to aloe vera extract as one of the ingredients or not sure if my skin hates cucumber. Not sure if it was due to the weather but I will still purchase this one if necessary.

Wishcare 2% Salicylic Acid Face Wash

I’ve lost count on this one. This is my holy grail face wash. This face wash is my favorite and it’s always a part of my skincare routine. The gel Facewash has 2% Salicylic Acid which helps to reduce acne. I guess this was a part of Mrinalini’s skincare too. She blogs here. You can use my code VARSHA to purchase any #wishcare product on their website.

Pros

  • I love the gel texture
  • Super gentle on the skin
  • Works on active acne
  • Super hydrating yet removes excess oil

Cons

  • The packaging is a little tricky. Once the product is half finished the actual formulation is difficult to come out. It either oozes a lot or I have to squeeze a lot to use the product.

Cool Phool Cleansing Malai

Utkarshini is a real gem and she makes beautiful formulations that anyone assume for desserts :p . She’s been that OG skincare girl that I thoroughly follow for more than 7 years. Pros

  • Gentle oil-free cleanser
  • Multipurpose cleanser
  • Perfect way to cool down post workout
  • The rose fragrance is just out of the world
  • Tackles sweaty face

Cons

  • Some might feel it to be pricey but given the ingredients, efficacy, and the knowledge Utkarshini has this has to be the best purchase.
