It’s been 10 years in Sindhudurg (Konkan), and somehow my world is full of three prominent colours: blue sky, green trees, and yellow/orange sunset hues.

Today I feel it’s more yellow. The rains have subsided over the last few days; I’m not sure whether it will rain again, but I truly hope it does for a few more days. A beautiful, bright day with a slightly humid atmosphere. It feels soft and moody. The sea shines brightly on the coasts, and no one can ever guess where the water ends.

Some of my days are bright and yellow; I know what I’m doing, and some are blue, where even my hot coffee turns cold. Today is that warm yellow colour where I love to be with my family and feel grateful to be around them. I’ve finally accepted every colour of my life.

Even the heaviest grey days might feel slow, like that phase where something is definitely brewing but nothing is visible. I understand not every day needs to be sunshine-worthy. Every colour teaches me something and prepares me for something. I always try to match my day and sail through that phase.

What colour would you choose?
